Apparently I was a little too excited to get to the Black Magic the other night and forgot all the other business I had to share. Now that the IPA Voodoo has worn off here goes...
For the breakfast Saturday the 14th, we will be featuring an assortment of German and American items ranging from weiss wurst to spent grain pancakes. This will begin at 10am and will be discounted for the Mug Club. $8 for Mug Club, $10 General Public. Like an evening tapping we will be releasing a beer, King Wheat Hefeweizen, and you are welcome to a pint on the house. Again, please bring your Mug Club cards so that you are recognized and extended this offer.
The Ovation bottles ('08 Barrel aged Collaborative Evil) are to be sold beginning at 9:30am to the Mug Club. There is a two bottle limit and there will be a maximum of 150 BOTTLES sold to the Club. The remaining 24 BOTTLES will be held for a raffle to the other guests at the breakfast. Again, this is a very small bottle release and we expect everything to be sold that day. Thanks.

NEW MUG CLUB MUGS
The New Mug Club mugs have arrived! There are now enough so that no single Mug Clubber will be without one while here at Flossmoor Station. If you have been in the past week, we have been implementing a new plan so that our mugs remain "in-house." This plan involved holding a driver's license until the mug was finished being used, and was DEFINITELY not meant to insult our faithful. We have decided that driver's licenses were being left behind too frequently, so we have changed to requesting your Mug Club card. Please bring your card with you on your next visit. If you do not have one due to loss etc, we will re-issue you another one at no charge.
Please be assured that we want this club to keep its identity by having mugs for all of our members to use while here. That is one of the perks of the club! We are also offering the new mugs for sale only to Mug Club Members. Check with the host stand or bar on your next visit. We really appreciate your patience with this new program, and welcome any comments or criticisms. As always, we are constantly striving to make membership in the Mug Club more enjoyable. Thank you.

Beer: Breakfast Beverage???
We are going to be releasing out King Wheat Hefeweizen on Saturday, November 14th at 10:00 AM. This will be our second Hefeweizen Breakfast and we are pleased to be having it again. This event will be open to the general public so please bring your Mug Club cards as the Mug Club will have a private keg for the tapping as usual. We will feature a menu with items suited for a German-style breakfast and for an American-style breakfast as well.
Mark the date and time as we will also be releasing the Ovation to the Mug Club at 9:30am. There will be 24 bottles (of the total 180) held for the general public if the allotment to the M.C. is purchased. I am crying a small tear that there is so little available!

Black Magic IPA Tapping
The newest IPA is in the tanks and ready for dry-hopping. The date has been set for Tuesday, November 3rd at 7pm. Again we are having this in the banquet room with a little nosh for soaking up the beer. This newest IPA is a twist on the style purely for the sake of being different. This IPA, as the name implies, is going to have the look of a stout and the taste of a regular IPA. It will be dry-hopped with Chinook only yielding a piney, resinous, and lingering bitterness. We will update the post with the ABV when it is done fermenting. Check back to find out!

IPA Bottles almost gone and Collaborative Evil on the last keg
Just a quick post to let everyone know that our IPA (Hop Huffer) is down to the last couple of cases and will soon be sold out. So get the bottles while you can! However, it will still be on tap in the pub for you to enjoy! Speaking of on tap, we are also down to our very last keg of Collaborative Evil '09 in the pub. Once that goes it will only be available in bottles.

"Ruby Brown" Munich Dunkel Tapping!!
The next tapping will take place October 20th, 7pm. We will be releasing our "Ruby Brown" Munich Dunkel (even though many of you have sampled Ms. Brown at previous Oktoberfest events across the city!) This deep copper and brown lager has aromas and flavors of chocolate, roast malts, and a classic lager finish. The body is medium to light and tips the abv scale at 6%. In addition to this release we will be having another small batch release (5gal for this tapping only) of a slight variation of the Hop Huffer IPA. Can't wait to see you all again.
